Project description: This 1926 kitchen may have worked well at the time but, was behind in terms of the lifestyle of our world today. The goal was to add functionality and warmth, while preserving the traditional style of the kitchen. This was accomplished by relocating the work centers and using a creative blend of materials and colors. The project features maple cabinets with inset doors, granite counter tops, a full height tile backsplash, an apron sink, hardwood flooring, and traditional mill work. |
Project description: This quaint little home offered many amenities, with the exception of the kitchen. Load bearing walls were removed to convert the existing 1940’s 9’ x 11’ kitchen to a 9’ x 17’ modern design. The project included updated electrical and mechanical systems, recessed lights, under-cabinet puck lights, natural Maple cabinets, Caesarstone solid surface counter tops, integrated stainless steel sink with single lever pullout faucet, new appliances, and white oak hardwood flooring. |

Project description: A complete overhaul of this old and cramped kitchen was the only way to go for this Golden Valley couple. The space was demolished down to the studs. Additional insulation was added in the attic before building a new, raised ceiling. The space features new cabinets, granite countertops, ceramic tile at the floor and backsplash, new appliances, a new lighting scheme, and a Pella french patio door. |
Project description: This family wanted to update their small kitchen. Lake State Remodelers presented several plans and ideas that eventually led them to decide on an addition for a new kitchen instead. The existing kitchen area was converted to more dining room and closet space. The new kitchen area features Showplace cabinets with a center island and integrated cook-top, Corian counters with a seamless sink, new appliances, recessed lighting, and natural hard wood flooring. |

Project description: When this family purchased their home, they new immediately that the kitchen needed to be updated. Better functionality and additional cabinet space were essential. The soffit area and drop ceiling were removed to extend the vaulted ceilings providing a spacious and open feel as well as taller wall cabinets for more storage. Project description: The home had an awkward and unusual shaped kitchen that didn't provide much cabinet space for a growing family. The existing kitchen was combined with a 9' x 24' addition by removing load bearing walls. The new space also allowed for a mud room next to the kitchen. The dining room was repositioned at a 45-degree angle to allow for French doors, traffic flow, and an island. The electrical system was updated and oak cabinets were installed along with laminate counter tops, new appliances, high-grade vinyl flooring, and Marvin windows and doors. A hutch was added for extra storage and a center island was created to allow for an eat-in kitchen to compliment a formal dining room. |
Project description: A few modifications went a long way in this St. Paul kitchen. An area of wall was removed between the kitchen and dining room for a much more open feel. New Cambria counters were installed along with a ceramic tile backsplash, new windows, a new sink and a new faucet. A new paint job was the final touch to liven up the old space. |

A dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room was replaced with an island. The kitchen features new cabinets with Silestone counter tops integrating a new undermount sink and faucet. Natural hard wood flooring was added to the kitchen and the staircase along with a railing to match the style of the dining and living rooms. Some old vinyl flooring was removed at the living room and the hardwood floors were re-finished through out the main floor and stairs. Ceramic tile was installed at the front entry to create a mud area and new doors and trim were installed to complete the main floor face-lift. |

Project description: This 100 year old home needed many updates, the most important of which was the kitchen. The existing kitchen was dark and outdated. Because of the age of the home the area was completely stripped. The electrical system was updated, there was framing added to bearing points, insulation was added as well as energy efficient doors. White cabinets and Silestone solid surface counter tops were installed to lighten the space up. A high grade vinyl flooring provided the final touch. |

New cabinets to match were installed. The original hardwood flooring was refinished. The lighting and electrical were updated providing a warmer and more functional space. Replacement retro-fit windows were installed along with new trim. The radiator was sandblasted and the appliances were updated for a completely new kitchen. |
