Project description: More
space for a growing family
was the goal with this
sizable addition. With a
large back yard and
beautiful view, a family
room was added in place
of the patio. It features a
gas fireplace, a new patio
and sizable windows to
view the beautiful brook
at the back yard.
Project description: This family
needed to add more space to their
existing 3-level split, so they
choose to add on a 16' x 24' family
room and convert the existing
family room into a master
bedroom. The design allowed them
to keep the family room on the
same level as the kitchen and
dining room. A beautiful corner gas
fireplace in the family room adds
warmth and aesthetic appeal.
Project description: This couple
wanted to add living space for
family relaxing. The addition at
the back of the home features
tongue and groove pine walls
and ceilings, a tile hearth
behind a wood burning potbelly
stove, and a cedar deck that
allows them to enjoy the wildlife
in their back yard.
Project description: With a beautiful home in a deeply wooded
area of Plymouth, a basic three season porch just wasn’t
enough for enjoying the wonderful woods that surround the
property. An addition that looked like a natural extension of the
house but that had a porch feel was the goal in replacing the
structure that once existed. Cheryl Moen sought out Lake State
Remodelers because of her experience with them as they were
doing a job for a neighbor.
With some basic ideas in mind, she was seeking help in
designing a structure that was a step above the average porch.
The first design was a winner and with some modifications to
the window layout, the plans were approved and ready for
construction. CLC certified lead carpenter Dwayne Smith
oversaw the project that features Comfort-Foam sprayed
polyurethane, knotty pine interior walls and ceilings, cedar lap
siding, french doors, and a ceiling fan hanging from a 13’ high
ceiling. Cheryl couldn’t be happier with the addition and with
everyone at Lake State Remodelers. The project was finished
just in time for her to enjoy the fall colors.

Project description: These
homeowners wanted a
family room at the back of
the house to view the
garden instead of the
street. The addition with a
full basement provides a
cozy main floor room with
wood floors and vaulted
ceilings. A new master
bedroom now exists at the
lower level. A composit
deck provides a pleaant
area to enjoy the back
yard and garden.
